Definition of Brainery: (noun) A place of study or training in a specific field.

The S.E.B.S. Brainery is a unique place to engage, learn, understand, practice, and celebrate.  It's a place for students to learn, develop, and strengthen cognitive processes within core cognitive-developmental (Cogmental™) areas and well as developing strategies for learning and studying.  The cognitive-developmental domains referred to in S.E.B.S are; being social/social and emotional competencies, executive functioning skills, behavior skills, and speech and language skills, and fundamental neurological skills

The culminating effect of combining interventions from all of these areas improves academic skills and essential life skills more robustly. Here at S.E.B.S. Brainery treatment programs are synergistically developed, and treatment is provided in a comfortable, enriching, and engaging environment.

How can these programs help students and caregivers?

  • Increase knowledge, understanding, and transfer/generalization of skills

  • Learn new skills and strategies to access the new information fluidly

  • Develop a stronger positive self-mindset and self-analysis skills (confidence, awareness, regulation/control, etc.)

  • Enable more positive parent-child interactions related to academics, emotions, and social awareness

  • Develop independent thinking, appropriate decision making, functional reasoning, active problem-solving, and age-appropriate responsibility

  • Build motivation to engage in life skills effectively

  • Develop an effective sense of urgency, an awareness of time, and independently acquire social and situational awareness

  • Building lasting friendships

  • Access to peers for other social events
